Part ready-made installation and part washed-out photo series, Lucien Smith’s newest show at The Suzanne Geiss Company evokes feelings of a gritty New York City that once was. Through 43 sets of nine Polaroid snapshots organized in baseball card sleeves, Smith pinpoints a variety of areas destined to be altered, developed or even erased as the big apple gentrifies and grows older. His work continues with dozens of brooms surrounded by four large two-dimensional mixed media works. “A Clean Sweep” is open until June 22nd.

Indie singer and Brooklyn-based babe Amalie Bruun was seen rocking the Feliks + Adrik x LCD Three Crescents Necklace that just dropped this week. The songstress mentions in a recent Elle interview, “I only want to wear things that are necessary. I only want to sing notes that are necessary. It’s not indifference; I’m very excited about things. I don’t get flattered very easily… I think that’s a dangerous thing.”
Our opinion? The F+A x LCD Three Crescents Necklace is necessary for any closet. For more on Amalie’s past & personal style, click here for the full interview.

Our girl Orly Genger is at it again, this time with her largest and most labor-intensive installation yet. The artist’s signature rope coils are currently on display in Madison Square Park via a public sculpture called “Red, Yellow and Blue.” On view through Sept. 8, the contemporary artist has made three towering enclosures out of 1.4 million feet of hand-crocheted lobster-fishing rope, each painted a different primary color. Covering roughly 4,500 square feet through three separate lawns, this is the park’s largest project to date.
It’ll be a bit hard to get your hands on a piece of this installation, so shop LCD for your very own Orly Genger by Jaclyn Meyer. Added bonus: all pieces are currently 30% off!
